This KITTENS quilt by Camille Roskelley was made using her fabric collection called "A Cat Named Stitch."
I made this for my daughter-in-law's birthday. I had pre-ordered it and they gave me a time frame when the kit would arrive. It came at the very end of that time frame. Then I had some visitors over the next two weeks which gave me only a month to get this stitched and quilted and bound.
Some days I put in eight to ten hours of work. But I was able to give it to my daughter-in-law without the binding on her birthday and then take it back home to bind it.
It was supposed to be 7 blocks by 7 blocks but I was so tired I accidentally laid it out at 6 blocks by 8 blocks. This meant that the backing material I ordered wasn't long enough but I was able to piece in the binding material that I had ordered and make it work.
I used both Glide and Isacord thread. I started with Glide but used matching Isacord when I would run out of Glide because I couldn't wait for an order to arrive.
I used Quilter's Dream White batting. And a BERNINA Jeans 90/14 needle. The quilting went well. I did some meandering around the kitty heads and the rest was ruler work.
I hope Allie enjoys it! It reminds me of their little gray cat, Luna ❤️
Remember to pick up a needle and thread and sew some joy into your life!
